Allison “Alli” Takacs focuses her practice on representing homeowners and community associations in construction defect litigation. Ms. Takacs obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 15% of her class. While at the University of Denver, Ms. Takacs competed on the National Trial Team for two years, winning the National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, California. Ms. Takacs also won the Daniel S. Hoffman Memorial Trial Advocacy Tournament, the Advocates Cup Trial Tournament, and the Hogan-Lovells Crosstown Cup Trial Tournament. Ms. Takacs is now an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, teaching trial advocacy to the current National Trial Team. Ms. Takacs is licensed to practice law in Colorado and South Dakota.

Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Takacs practiced catastrophic personal injury litigation in Denver, Colorado. This work enabled her to develop a deep understanding of litigation strategies and how to build a case from the ground level. Ms. Takacs also served as a legal intern for Chief Judge Michael Martinez in the 2nd Judicial District Court. Prior to law school, Ms. Takacs obtained a double B.A. in Socio-legal Studies and Psychology with a minor in Political Science from the University of Denver.

While she was originally born in South Dakota, Ms. Takacs grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Accordingly, she loves snowboarding, exercising, traveling, and every single dog. In her spare time, Ms. Takacs can usually be found at the gym or spending time with her husband and golden retriever, Boo Bear.
