Rachel Denning
Rachel Denning is an attorney in Burg Simpson’s Personal Injury Litigation Department, where she passionately represents individuals who have suffered catastrophic and complex injuries, as well as families facing the devastating aftermath of wrongful death. Her approach is deeply personal and grounded in empathy, shaped by the clear goal of helping clients navigate life’s most difficult moments with confidence and legal excellence.
Before joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Denning practiced exclusively in the field of personal injury law, gaining valuable experience and insight into the nuances of advocating for injured individuals in cases involving serious personal injuries, collisions, trucking accidents, product liability, and premises liability. At Burg Simpson, she has expanded her practice to include commercial litigation, sexual abuse claims, and insurance bad faith, enabling her to bring a comprehensive and thoughtful approach to every case she handles.
Ms. Denning earned her Juris Doctor degree Magna Cum Laude from the Phoenix School of Law, where she was recognized for both her academic achievement and her strong commitment to individual advocacy. Prior to becoming an attorney, she spent nearly a decade in real estate investment, cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit that continues to guide her work today. She is also a co-owner of a small business in Arizona that keeps her engaged in the state’s artistic community and provides meaningful ways to give back to the city she now proudly calls home.
Originally from Oregon, Ms. Denning grew up with a love for the ocean and a deep appreciation for nature, which she now shares with her three young children through travel and outdoor exploration. Her passion for culture and connection led her to live in Italy, where she focused on writing and immersing herself in new perspectives and communities, an experience that continues to inform her worldview and client-centered approach.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Denning is a strong advocate for inclusion and equity in the broader community. She is involved in organizations such as one·n·ten, which works to create a world where LGBTQ+ youth and young adults are celebrated and supported for who they are. Through both her professional work and personal commitments, Rachel strives to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and just community, one client, and one case, at a time.
