Lauren M. Knapp

Lauren Knapp’s practice is focused on commercial litigation. Ms. Knapp obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While at the University of Denver, Ms. Knapp competed on the National Trial Team for two years, winning the National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, California. Ms. Knapp also won the Daniel S. Hoffman Memorial Trial Advocacy Tournament hosted at the University of Denver.

Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Knapp was a Deputy District Attorney at the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in the Special Victim’s Unit. In that unit, she prosecuted crimes against children, including sexual abuse and child abuse. Through her work at the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Knapp was counsel on more than 40 jury trials. Prior to law school, Ms. Knapp graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science. While at the University of Colorado Boulder, Ms. Knapp was a Division I Cheerleader for all four years.

Ms. Knapp loves all things outdoors, including skiing, fishing, and hiking. She loves cheering for the Colorado Buffaloes along with spending time with her border collie named Dwight.
