Chasen Miller

Chasen Miller focuses his practice in construction defect litigation, primarily representing homeowners and community associations. Mr. Miller obtained his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class. While at the University of Denver, Mr. Miller competed on the National Trial Team for two years, competing in the top trial competitions across the nation. Most notably, Mr. Miller was a two-time regional champion in the National Trial Competition, placed sixth in the nation at the 2022 National Championships, won first place in the University of Denver Advocates Cup Trial Tournament, and competed amongst the 12 highest ranked student trial advocates in the nation at the 2022 Baylor University Top Gun Trial Advocacy Competition. Beyond trial, Mr. Miller was an Associate Editor of the 100th edition of the Denver Law Review and sat on the board of several student organizations.

Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Mr. Miller was a legal intern at the United States District Court for the District of Colorado for Magistrate Judge Kristen Mix and was also a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Colorado for Justice Richard Gabriel. Additionally, Mr. Miller was a Student Practice Act intern for the Douglas County District Attorney’s office. There, Mr. Miller refined his advocacy and trial skills by trying nine jury trials, giving him invaluable student experience. Before law school, Mr. Miller obtained a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Mr. Miller grew up from a very young age in the front range foothills of Colorado and, although he was not born in Colorado, he very much considers himself a Colorado native. In his spare time, he can be found skiing, hiking, rock climbing, or simply spending time outside enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather. Mr. Miller is also an avid Colorado sports fan and loves cheering on the Broncos, Buffaloes, Nuggets, and Avalanche.
