Grand Junction, CO (June 11, 2021) – One person was left injured following an airplane accident in Grand Junction on Sunday. On June 7, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash on 5725 Road.
Reports from authorities show that a 69-year-old man from the Montrose area was utilizing a single-engine Zenith CH 750 when he became involved in an accident. The plane then crashed down in the 2000 block of 5725 Road after the engine vapor locked. The pilot was injured in the accident. He was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital then later transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
