Colorado Springs, CO (January 4, 2021) – A vehicle collision reported early Saturday morning left one person injured in the Colorado Springs area. Just after 1 a.m., on January 2, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Constitution Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that a crash took place on Constitution Avenue near the intersection with Skye Circle. Reports show that a police cruiser was traveling through the intersection when the driver swerved to avoid colliding with a deer. A second police cruiser then crashed into the vehicle and a tree on the side of the road. One officer was injured in the accident. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment of injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
