Fort Collins, CO (August 19, 2020) – A car crash reported on Tuesday afternoon in the Fort Collins area claimed one driver’s life and left one other person injured. Just after 3 p.m., on August 18, officers from the Fort Collins Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South Taft Hill Road (County Road 19).

Reports provided by local news sources show that a black 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on South Taft Hill Road when it collided with a southbound 2008 Mini Cooper after the Mini Cooper drifted across the center line in the 1600 block of South Taft Hill Road. The female passenger of the Corolla was killed instantly in the crash. An adult male inside the Corolla sustained minor injuries in the crash and was rendered aid at the scene. The male driver of the Mini Cooper was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
