UPDATE: Cañon City, CO – Teen Succumbs to Injuries from Accident on CO-50
Cañon City, CO (July 26, 2020) – One victim involved in the major motor vehicle accident reported in Cañon City has succumbed to his injuries, according to reports.
At approximately 3 p.m., on July 25, the Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Colorado State Highway 50. Reports provided by authorities show that an SUV was involved in a collision with a bus on Colorado State Highway 50 near the intersection with Highway 9.
The collision resulted in extensive damages to both vehicles involved. All three people inside the SUV were transported to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. One person in the SUV, who was later identified as a 19-year-old male from New York, succumbed to his injuries after arriving. At this time, authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
