Rifle, CO (July 11, 2020) – A helicopter crash on Saturday morning left two people injured, according to reports. Just after 7 a.m., on July 11, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the aviation accident near Airport Road.

According to reports, a small helicopter was inspecting power lines for Xcel Energy along Airport Road when the helicopter crashed and burst into flames. Two people inside the helicopter were seriously injured. Both victims were transported to Grand River Hospital for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
