Rifle, CO (July 8, 2020) – An automobile accident on Monday evening claimed the lives of three people in Garfield County, according to reports. At approximately 9:50 p.m., on July 6, the Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 6.

Reports show that a 2014 Dodge pickup and 1990 Ford pickup collided along the highway near mile marker 100. Both cars caught on fire due to the impact of the collision. Two people inside the Ford and one person inside the Dodge sustained fatal injuries in the accident. All three victims were immediately declared deceased. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
