Grand Junction, CO – Several Victims Injured in Truck Crash on I-70
Grand Junction, CO (July 3, 2020) – An accident involving a semi-truck sent several victims to area hospitals with injuries in Mesa County on Wednesday, according to reports.
Just before 2:20 p.m., on July 1, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Mesa County. Reports from the Colorado State Patrol show that a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling west on the interstate when it collided with a semi-truck. The impact of the collision caused the semi-truck to roll over onto its side, blocking all the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
At the time of the accident, there were five occupants inside the passenger and one in the semi-truck. Several victims were transported from the scene of the accident to area hospitals for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
