Colorado Springs, CO (July 24, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported early Friday morning left one person seriously injured in the Colorado Springs area. Just before 8 a.m., on July 24, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on North Nevada Avenue, the CanAm Highway.
Reports from the police show that a pedestrian was crossing the northbound lanes of North Nevada Avenue near the intersection with Fontanero Street when they were struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the accident. Crews closed off the area to begin investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim was rendered aid at the scene and rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are ongoing at this time.
