Colorado Springs, CO (July 3, 2020) – Two vehicles ended up on the side with severe damages after a collision during rush hour on Thursday, according to reports. At approximately 6 p.m., on July 2, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on East Platte Avenue.
Reports from the CSPD show that a black pickup truck and a white vehicle collided on East Platte Avenue at the intersection with East Boulder Street. The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the road and onto a nearby sidewalk. Both vehicles suffered from extensive damages as several people became entrapped. Firefighters responded to the scene to extricate multiple victims before transporting those in need of further treatment to area hospitals. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
