Reports from police show that a mid-sized pickup truck was traveling down the roadway. When the truck reached the intersection of US Highway 85 and Weld County Road 8, the driver of the vehicle attempted to make a left turn. As the truck turned at the intersection, it was struck by a gravel semi-truck. The driver of the pickup suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the man who lost his life in this accident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
