Colorado Springs, CO (June 5, 2020) – A pedestrian-involved motor vehicle accident on Wednesday remains under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department after the severity of the victim’s injuries increases.

On June 3, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on North Cascade Avenue. According to reports, a group of protesters was gathered at the intersection of North Cascade Avenue and East Pikes Peak Avenue when a female was struck by a green Jeep Wrangler. Authorities initially thought the woman suffered a shoulder injury but have now learned that she suffered serious bodily injuries in the collision and remains hospitalized.

At this time, the CSPD’s Major Crash Team is reviewing footage from the accident as they continue their investigation. Our thoughts are with the woman injured in this collision, and her family, at this time. We hope for her full recovery.
