Colorado Springs, CO – 5-Year-Old Killed in Accident on S Academy Blvd

Colorado Springs, CO (May 30, 2020) – Just before 7 p.m., on May 27, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South Academy Boulevard.

Reports show that an SUV was traveling along South Academy Boulevard when it was struck by a pickup truck as the truck merged onto the roadway from southbound Interstate 25.

A 5-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a female passenger were all ejected from the vehicle.

The 5-year-old boy suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The woman, a male occupant, and the 3-year-old girl were all rushed to area hospitals for treatment.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
