Lakewood, CO (May 18, 2021) – The police, firefighters, and medical personnel responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Lakewood area that ended in injuries. At approximately 4:21 p.m., on May 18, emergency crews received the request for assistance on-site at a crash on West 5th Avenue.

According to reports from the West Metro Fire Rescue, a collision between vehicles occurred on West 5th Avenue that prompted crews to close off the roadway at the intersection of Wadsworth Boulevard. Injured parties were rendered aid at the scene by responding medical personnel before being transported to area hospitals for further care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
