Fire Incidents in Colorado

Fires throughout the United States have a devastating impact on families. In some cases, material losses are overwhelming. Families who lose their homes, all their possessions, and essentially their livelihoods are forced to start over. As if the loss of homes and possessions were not enough, many people are harmed in these unexpected incidents. In far too many cases, victims suffer life-threatening injuries due to defective appliances, faulty wiring, and various other reasons. Although we would like to think that fires are rare, they happen fairly often and have a life-changing impact on those involved.

Nearly 500,000 people require medical treatment for burn injuries throughout the United States each year. More than 40,000 hospitalizations are the result of acute burn injuries while more than 30,000 people require treatment at specialized burn centers.
