Buena Vista, CO – Man Killed in Crash with Snowplow on Hwy 285 near MM 140, South of Nathrop

Buena Vista, CO (March 7, 2021) – One man has lost his life as a result of a head-on collision reported in the Buena Vista area on Thursday morning. On March 4, the Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 285.

Reports from the CSP show that a 2014 Honda CRV collided head-on with a snowplow on Highway 285 near mile marker 140 just south of the Nathrop area near Buena Vista. The impact of the crash sent the CRV off the roadway, causing fatal injuries to the driver. Crews arrived at the scene and declared the 46-year-old driver deceased. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
