Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Cincinnati, Ohio

Statistics gathered over the past 10 years show that more than 1100 people have lost their lives in pedestrian accidents across the state of Ohio. Although Ohio has the 11th lowest pedestrian fatality rate per population of all 50 states, we continue to see these accidents impact the lives of people across the area. There are many causes of pedestrian accidents that we see here in Hamilton County. Some of the leading causes are:

  • Drivers who are distracted

  • Drivers who are speeding
  • Drivers who fail to yield the right of way
  • Defective parts and malfunctioning vehicles

When people lose their lives in pedestrian accidents, their families are often left to deal with the overwhelming mental and emotional consequences. To make these situations even worse, families are often forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on funeral arrangements and various other end-of-life costs.
