Middleburg Heights, OH (October 14, 2020) – An officer working in the Middleburg Heights area was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. On October 13, the police in Middleburg Heights responded to the site of a major motor vehicle accident on Pearl Road.

Reports from authorities show that a man was sitting at his office desk inside a building located in the 7200 block of Pearl Road. At the same time, a dump truck was making a wide turn onto the road when it was struck by a car. The impact of the crash caused the truck to plow through the office building, striking the worker who was in the middle of a Zoom meeting. The worker sustained critical injuries in the accident. The victim was rushed to Southwest General Health Center where they were admitted for emergency medical services. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
