Following numerous reports of injuries from flying fan blades, Fanim Industries is recalling its 48-inch Harbor Breeze Santa Ana ceiling fans. The recall is expansive. It affects around 70,000 ceiling fans sold exclusively at Lowe’s around the country and online between May 2014 and January 2016. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the manufacturer is already aware of at least 10 reports of injuries caused by errant fan blades. Consumers are urged to stop using the affected fans immediately.

What Should I Do If I am the Victim of a Defective Product?

If a dangerous or a defective product has left you or a loved one seriously injured, you need to speak with a products liability attorney as soon as possible. There is limited time to file a claim, and the time limit varies by state. If you miss the deadline, you will not be able to receive the compensation you deserve.

It is crucial to preserve as much evidence as possible to support your legal claim. This means you should not throw out the product that harmed you, but keep it somewhere safe so it can be inspected later. Hold onto any packaging, instructions, receipts, or other materials because they may be useful for your claim.
