Dayton, OH (January 25, 2021) – An automobile accident reported in the Dayton area claimed the life of one woman on Sunday. On January 24, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 75.

Reports from authorities show that a 2002 Saturn L broke down on the side of the highway just before noon. Two other vehicles, a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro, which was driven by a 29-year-old male, and a 2020 Nissan Versa, driven by a 53-year-old woman, both pulled over to the side of the road to wait with the Saturn for a tow truck. While waiting, a 2012 Chrysler 300 drove onto the side of the road and crashed into the Nissan. The impact of the crash pushed the Nissan forward, causing it to crash into the Chevy. The Chevy was then pushed into the Saturn. The driver of the Nissan was fatally injured in the accident. Authorities declared the woman deceased at the scene. A passenger in the Nissan, identified as a 28-year-old, was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of critical injuries. The driver of the Chrysler and the driver of the Chevrolet both received treatment for minor injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.

Fatal Car Accidents in Ohio

Cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs are some of the most common methods of transportation throughout the entire country.
