Following the report of 13 injuries, Hongkong Sun Rise Trading Ltd. is recalling 1.06 million pressure washers. The recalled pressure washers are named Greenworks and Powerworks and include the following models: GPW1500, GPW1501, GPW1600, GPW1602, GPW1702. GPW1704, GPW1800, GPW1803, 5202002, PWA101, and PWA104. The recalled pressure washers were sold at Lowe’s stores nationwide as well as through online retailers from January 2017 through February 2021. According to the recall notice, the spray gun on the recalled products has a plastic interior connector that connects the spray gun to the hose. This connector can break, causing the hose and/or parts of the connector to become unsecure during use, which poses the risk of an impact injury to the user. The potential injures can be very serious. Specifically, of the 13 injuries reported, seven required medical treatment for post-concussion, broken bones, and/or injuries to the eyes and mouth.
