Las Vegas, NV – Two Injured in Fire at Shelter Island Apartments on University Center Dr near Twain Ave

Las Vegas, NV (April 12, 2021) – A fire incident reported in the Las Vegas area ended in injuries. At around 1:55 a.m., on April 9, emergency crews were called to the scene of an apartment fire on University Center Drive.

Reports from authorities show that a fire broke out at the Shelter Island Apartments, located near University Center Drive and Twain Avenue. The incident caused moderate damage to a third-floor apartment of the building. A total of thirty people responded to the scene. By 2:05 a.m., the incident was declared under control. Two people who were inside the apartment at the time of the fire were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
