Xarelto® is dangerous because it is associated with a risk of uncontrollable bleeding
Unlike older blood thinners such as warfarin, Xarelto® has no known reversal agent, antidote or other medicine that can be given to stop the bleeding, leaving patients at risk of serious complications including bleeding to death.
Xarelto’s® “No Blood Monitoring” claim exposes patients to unnecessary risk.
Xarelto® is marketed as better than warfarin because patients are not required to visit their doctor or a clinic on a regular basis for blood tests. However, some in the medical community have recommended infrequent blood tests for Xarelto® patients to make sure that patients receive the correct dose and are protected against both strokes and bleeding. The companies that manufacture and sell Xarelto® have resisted a blood testing requirement because they believe they will sell more Xarelto® if they can market it as a more convenient drug than competitors like warfarin that require monitoring.
Complications that may be caused by Xarelto®:
• Internal bleeding
• Bleeding in the brain
• Bleeding resulting in death
What types of claims are compensable?
If you or a loved one took Xarelto® and suffered from serious bleeding or if your loved one died due to bleeding while taking Xarelto®, you may be entitled to compensation. However, your claim must be supported by medical and prescription records. Once we have your signed medical authorizations, we can usually obtain these records quickly.
Will it cost me anything to find out if I have a claim?
No. We offer clients a free, no obligation case evaluation. We pay for the cost of obtaining your medical records, any expert reviews, and court filing fees. We only receive reimbursement and a fee for our work if the drug company pays your claim. If you do not receive a recovery, then you owe us nothing.
What’s my next step? Act now to ensure your claim is timely filed. Many have already filed a lawsuit. Indecision could mean losing the opportunity to receive just compensation. The time you have in which to file a claim depends on a variety of factors, including the state in which you live. For more detailed answers to your questions, go to our FAQs page here.
