Car Accidents in Cincinnati, Ohio
Each year, more than 65,000 people are injured in motor vehicle accidents across the state of Ohio. In many instances, victims require emergency medical attention for their injuries. Although we think we know what to expect following a motor vehicle accident, there is no way to truly prepare for the mental, physical, and financial consequences victims are forced to endure.
In many instances, victims are left with severe internal organ damage, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries that require emergency medical attention and months of therapy and rehabilitation. These and other life-threatening injuries have multiple treatment options available. However, there is no guarantee that victims will ever truly recover from their injuries. In fact, motor vehicle accidents across the state of Ohio leave thousands of people permanently disabled each year.
Although drivers often act carefully and responsibly while operating their vehicles, we continue to see a significant number of people harmed due to the negligence of others. Some of the leading causes of crashes in our state include:
- drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol
- drivers who are engaging in reckless driving behaviors
- drivers who failed to yield the right-of-way
- drivers who are distracted by their cell phones and other objects
- drivers who speed
- defective parts and malfunctioning vehicles
When victims are injured in accidents, due to the negligence of others, seeking the assistance of a skilled Cincinnati car accident attorney can greatly improve their chances of recovering. In some cases, injured parties may be entitled to compensation to cover lost wages, medical expenses, long-term care costs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages they face moving forward from their accidents.
