Westerville, OH (October 18, 2020) – A fire reported on Saturday morning claimed one person’s life in the Westerville area. Just after 5:20 a.m., on October 17, the Westerville Fire Department responded to the site of an incident on North Virginia Lane.

Reports show that a fire broke out at an apartment complex for unknown reasons. The fire spread to several apartments, displacing over 20 residents. One person who lived in the complex sustained fatal injuries in the fire. The victim was pronounced dead at the site of the incident. At this time, details surrounding any other injuries are limited. Investigations to determine the cause of the fire are underway.
