Canton, OH – One Teen Injured in Crash on OH-800 near 37th St
Canton, OH (October 19, 2020) – An impaired driver caused an accident late Sunday evening in Canton Township that left one teen injured. Just after 9:10 p.m., on October 18, the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on Ohio State Route 800.
According to reports, a 38-year-old woman was driving a silver 2016 Hyundai Sante Fe on Ohio State Route 800 when she went off the left side of the road and went airborne. Her vehicle crashed into a house near 37th Street. One 17-year-old boy inside the home was struck by the vehicle. The teen was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The woman was subsequently arrested after drugs were located inside her SUV. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
