Belmont County, OH – One Killed & One Injured in Motorcycle Crash on OH-149

Belmont County, OH (October 14, 2020) – A motorcycle accident in Belmont County resulted in fatal injuries on Tuesday evening. At approximately 4 p.m., on October 13, the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on Ohio State Route 149.

Reports from authorities show that a 54-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on Ohio State Route 149. For unknown reasons, the motorcycle collided head-on with an SUV near milepost 7 in the Stewartsville area. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV sustained undisclosed injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, the conditions surrounding the crash are under investigation.
