Las Vegas, NV – Motorcyclist Loses Life in Crash on E Owens Ave near Mt Hood St
Las Vegas, NV (August 9, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motorcycle accident in the Las Vegas area, according to local news sources. At around 9:20 p.m., on August 6, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on East Owens Avenue.
Reports from authorities indicate that a 39-year-old was driving a motorcycle west on East Owens Avenue. For unknown reasons, the driver of a 2016 GMC Sierra drive their vehicle over the center lane and crossed into the westbound lane. The GMC then struck the motorcycle in the area of Mt Hood Street.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the GMC, a 29-year-old, failed a sobriety test and was arrested. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
