Reno, NV – Injury Accident Reported on I-580 N near Mill St
Reno, NV (December 26, 2020) – A semi-truck accident in the Reno area left an unknown number of people injured on Wednesday morning. At around 8:25 a.m., on December 23, the Reno Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 580.
Reports show that a semi-truck and at least one other vehicle were involved in a collision on interstate 580 North near the northbound on-ramp from Mill Street. Further investigations surrounding the accident find that a semi-truck was traveling onto the freeway from Mill Street when the vehicle swung too wide upon reaching the mainline. As a result, the semi-truck collided with a vehicle. The semi-truck driver then over-corrected the vehicle to the right and crashed into the attenuator before leaving the roadway and jackknifing. Paramedics rendered aid to victims at the scene before transporting those in need of further assistance to area hospitals. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
