Each year, Burg Simpson awards college scholarships to the graduating high school seniors who win our essay competition regarding the importance of the U.S. civil jury system, and how it is being threatened. The annual Burg Simpson Scholarship Competition is an outstanding opportunity for high school seniors to obtain additional funds for college, and to learn more about the significance of our country’s civil jury system.
On Saturday, March 9th, Burg Simpson shareholder Stephan Marsh presented awards to this years’ Burg Simpson Scholarship Competition winners at center court during halftime at the Boys’ State Championship Basketball Game at the Denver Coliseum.
Partnering with the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) over the past 8 years, Burg Simpson has awarded over $92,000 in scholarships to college-bound students. The top scholarship is $2,500 and nine scholarships are $1,000. Burg Simpson is looking forward to hosting all 10 winners, and their families and a teacher of their choice, to a dinner held in their honor in April of this year!
