Peter W. Burg Returns to Board of Mountain States ADL
After a brief hiatus, Burg Simpson shareholder Peter W. Burg is returning to the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region. Peter joins 13 other new board members, who were confirmed at the group’s annual meeting last month at Temple Sinai.
“We’re pleased to have Peter Burg and all of our new members join the ADL regional board,” ADL Board Chair Jim Kurtz-Phelan said in announcing the elections. “Each of them brings a wealth of talent, energy and support to ADL. It will be a great privilege to work with them.”
For Peter, his work with the ADL and its mission is deeply personal.
“I believe that we have an obligation and responsibility to combat intolerance and discrimination,” Peter said at his nomination. “I see ADL as a vehicle for me to do my part.”
Peter’s professional practice centers on litigation in a wide range of areas. Over the years, Peter has developed a national reputation as a trial lawyer through his work with cases involving product liability, personal injury, and mass tort litigation. Peter has been recognized by the Legal 500 as a “particularly strong and intelligent leader” and shows “the ability to try cases when necessary and to settle cases for top value when settlement is clearly in the client’s best interest.”
The Mountain States Regional Office has been fulfilling the Anti-Defamation League’s mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all” in Colorado and Wyoming for more than 75 years.
