Michael S. Burg, the founding shareholder of Burg Simpson, was interviewed by KDVR, Fox 31 TV News, on September 9th about the recent news of the tragic death of a 6-year-old girl at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Colorado.  Michael Burg previously litigated against Glenwood Caverns and spoke to KDVR to how these instances of repeated negligent conduct are putting lives at risk.

In February 2015, a client of Burg Simpson was riding on the Alpine Coaster at the amusement park during the early evening. Glenwood Caverns continued to operate the ride, despite the absence of proper lighting and camera security, which ultimately resulted in the client breaking her back upon colliding with stalled cars. The case was dismissed in court and the judge did not hold the amusement park accountable for the incident because the client signed a waiver upon entering the amusement park. In a tragically similar way to this current news story, the park knew the dangers of operating the ride and did not take any preventative measures. This poses great danger for those who seek justice

Michael Burg was also the lead trial counsel in representing victims of the Steamboat Springs gas explosion that blew up downtown Steamboat Springs, CO, as well as the lead trial counsel in representing victims of the Cody, Wyoming gas explosion. He received a multi-million dollar jury verdict in both cases.
