Fighting for the Victims of 9/11
Jacob M. Burg Burg recently reached a resolution with the Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) for a husband and wife who risked their lives volunteering near Ground Zero in the September 11, 2001 clean up efforts. The fund was established by an Act of Congress to provide compensation for any individual (or a personal representative of a deceased individual) who suffered physical harm or was killed as a result of the terrorist-related aircraft crashes of 911, or the debris removal efforts that took place following the events of that day.
After Jake Burg reached a resolution with the VCF, the wife of his client said: “Before my husband passed away, he said he wanted me to see this case through to the end. Without Jake Burg, I would still be waiting for this case to be resolved. Jake fought for us and he never gave up.”
Jake Burg’s practice is focused on personal injury litigation and he represents clients who have been seriously injured in incidents that were the result of another party’s negligence.
Mr. Burg was selected as an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Law Week Colorado in 2018, and was named a shareholder of the firm in 2019.
