KMGH-TV, Denver’s ABC affiliate, highlighted the 2018 Jeremy Bitner Run on “Mile High Living” last week.

The sixth annual 5k/10k run and 5k walk, which is set to take place at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Cornerstone Park in Englewood, Colorado, benefits the families of fallen police officers.

Burg Simpson shareholder Nick D. Fogel, appeared on the program with Chad Read, president of the Jeremy Bitner Fallen Officer Fund, to talk about the event and what it means for the community. “Since the inaugural event, we’ve been able to help 13 members of law enforcement and their families who lost their lives in the line of duty,” Nick explained during the segment.

The run, and the foundation it’s named after, were originally established in memory of Englewood police officer Jeremy Bitner, who was struck and killed by a passing car during a traffic stop in May of 2012.

Nick, and Burg Simpson as a whole, have been longtime supporters of the Jeremy Bitner Foundation. Nick’s practice is devoted to helping those who have been injured while working on the job and in the line of duty. In this capacity, Nick has extensive courtroom experience handling a wide variety of legal matters.

There’s still time to register for this event here.
