Lexus 2010 GX 460 Safety Defects Prompts Sales Suspension

Burg Simpson News Updates
Consumer Reports has issued a “Don’t Buy: Safety Risk” warning for the 2010 Lexus GX460 because of a problem with the vehicle’s electronic stability control system. In an emergency-handling test, the 2010 GX460 slid almost sideways before the stability control system was able to gain control, increasing the probability of a rollover accident, which in turn could cause catastrophic personal injury or even death. In light of the report, Lexus has asked its dealers to temporarily suspend sales of the 2010 GX 460 and has promised to provide a loaner car to the estimated 5000 customers who have already purchased the vehicle. This warning is the latest in a long line to plague Lexus and its parent company Toyota Motor Corp.
