Infantino Recalls 1 Million Baby Slings After Three Infant Deaths

Parents and childcare providers should be aware that Infantino LLC, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a recall for it “SlingRider” and “Wendy Bellissimo” infant slings after a potentially fatal product defect was discovered. The CPSC has advised parents of infants younger than four months of age to immediately stop using these slings due to a possible risk of suffocation. In 2009, the CPSC was made and aware of three infant deaths that occurred in these slings in Pennsylvania, Oregon and Ohio.
