Burg Simpson Shareholder Angela McGraw Elected Treasurer of ABOTA
Burg Simpson is Pleased to Announce that Angela McGraw was Elected Treasurer of ABOTA.
Shareholder Angela McGraw is the new Treasurer of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is an invitation-only organization that was founded in 1958. It is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges whose members are dedicated to preserving and promoting the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership consists of lawyers and judges across all 50 states.
In her new role as the Treasurer of ABOTA, Ms. McGraw will be responsible for:
1. Together with the President and other members of the Executive Committee appointments, establish and implement a budget for Board approval.
2. Oversee the finances of the organization.
3. Participate in Executive Committee discussions.
4. Report the organization’s finances to the National Office of ABOTA no later than December 3
About Angela McGraw
Angela E. McGraw, Esq. is currently a Shareholder at Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C., and an accomplished trial attorney with exceptional conflict resolution skills. Angela gravitated to personal injury and medical malpractice law as it was a natural fit for her as an advocate for the underdog. She has practiced plaintiff’s personal injury law since 2000.

The association’s mission is to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.
ABOTA members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least ten civil jury trials to conclusion, and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism by following ABOTA’s Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.
