Bayer to Settle Yasmin ® Birth Control Lawsuits – Burg Simpson Responds to Media Reports

According to bloomberg.com, pharmaceutical giant Bayer AG is set to pay $110m in order to settle approximately 500 lawsuits, which claim that the Yasmin® line of birth-control pills caused injuries to women prescribed the drug. Burg Simpson is fully aware of these recent developments, and continues to monitor this emerging story.

Michael S. Burg, who was appointed by the Honorable David Herndon, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Illinois, to serve as Co-Lead Counsel for YAZ/Yasmin Multidistrict litigation said, “We are really happy that our hard work over the last three years has led to the negotiation of settlements and fair compensation being paid to plaintiffs.”
