Even the simplest of truck accidents can have life-changing consequences. That’s why it’s critical for trucking accident victims to have someone to fight for their rights.
“This case was a matter of an insurance company trying to treat our client like a second-class citizen because he did not speak English. Mr. Jiminez-Santana deserved more than the $7,500.00 the insurance company was trying to offer him. Our firm fought for Mr. Jiminez-Santana and the jury agreed that he deserved more as evidence by their verdict,” said Stephen J. Burg.
Mr. Jimenez-Santana was driving his pickup truck when he was rear-ended by the defendant, Robert Baker in December 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado. The minor trucking accident left Jimenez-Santana’s truck undamaged, but he did not escape unharmed.
Mr. Jimenez-Santana sustained a disc injury at L4 and L5 and had to endure a discectomy at the L4 and L5. The crash exacerbated a prior work injury he suffered to his back.
Burg Simpson senior associate David. J. Crough worked with Stephen on the case.
Stephen’s practice is focused on representing victims of auto crashes, personal injury, trucking accidents, product liability injuries, gas explosions, wrongful death, and harmful drug products. Stephen’s also been recognized for his legal excellence both nationally and locally.
