Federal Court Selects David P. Hersh as Committee on Conduct Chair

The United States District Court for the District of Colorado, acting through Chief Judge Marcia Krieger, has appointed Burg Simpson shareholder David P. Hersh as Chairman of the Committee on Conduct for that Court. David has been serving on the Committee on Conduct for the past four years. The appointment as Chair takes effect Oct. 1.

The Committee on Conduct is a standing committee of the Court charged with the responsibility of investigating claims of ethical misconduct by lawyers practicing in the United States District Court. In addition, the Committee conducts a periodic review of the Local Rules of Practice for Attorneys practicing in this District.

David Hersh is one of the founding members of Burg Simpson and a veteran trial attorney whose practice is focused on complex commercial matters, such as contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, ownership disputes, construction matters, and “bet your company” litigation. David has served as lead counsel in an extensive number of complex commercial litigation cases and on numerous catastrophic personal injury cases. David has tried well over 100 civil jury trials to verdict. He firmly believes the benchmark of his success comes from his passion for the law and a steadfast commitment to be the best advocate possible for his clients.
