Power morcellators are widely used in laparoscopic hysterectomies and uterine fibroid removal procedures. These devices allow surgeons to cut the uterus or fibroid tissues into small parts, for easy removal. However, for women who may have undiagnosed cancer or sarcoma, there is a serious risk of spreading cancerous cells inside the body.
Mr. Eldredge has been practicing law continuously with Burg Simpson since his admission to the Colorado Bar in 1983, and recently spoke before FDA Advisory Committee on Medical Devices about the dangers posed by morcellators.
Mr. Eldredge’s practice focuses on complex medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death and large product liability cases, as well as mass tort litigation. Mr. Eldredge is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is a frequent lecturer on a wide range of legal and medical malpractice topics. Mr. Eldredge is a regular speaker at national conventions for attorneys, medical professionals and patient advocacy groups.
