Construction Defect “Reforms” in 2015

Construction defect litigation will be one of the hot topics on the agenda for discussion when the 2015 Colorado Legislature convenes in January. A bill put forward last year would introduce major changes in the rights of condo owners.

Currently, condo owners unhappy with the quality of their homes’ construction may proceed with a lawsuit if the owners of just two units decide to move forward. The proposed bill requires over fifty percent of condo owners to support a lawsuit.
