With the baseball season underway, Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C. is delighted to announce
the launch of Home Runs for Craig 2012 – a fundraiser on behalf of Denver’s world-renowned Craig Hospital.
Every time Colorado hits a home run this season, Burg Simpson will make a generous donation to the Craig Hospital Foundation, helping to fund hospital programs and important research for survivors of spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Home Runs for Craig 2012 will be promoted throughout the entire 2012 season LIVE during in-game commentary on Denver’s 850KOA radio station – the official home of Colorado Rockies baseball.
Peter W. Burg, senior shareholder of Burg Simpson, past Chair of the Craig Hospital Board of Directors, and current member of both the Craig Hospital Operating Board and the Craig Hospital Foundation Board, is behind the idea.
Mr. Burg said, “As a personal injury lawyer for over 30 years, I have handled numerous cases involving brain and spinal cord injuries. I have seen first hand the devastating effects these injuries can have on people and their families. The staff at Craig Hospital does remarkable work in helping to rehabilitate individuals with spinal cord and traumatic brain injury. Home Runs for Craig 2012 is a fun way for Burg Simpson to cheer on the home team, and at the same time continue our firm’s commitment to being ‘Good Lawyers, Changing Lives’.”
Michael Fordyce, President of Craig Hospital said, “Craig Hospital is extremely grateful to Peter and Burg Simpson for their continuing support. Innovative fund-raising ideas like Home Runs for Craig 2012 help fund research and patient assistance for spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Every dollar raised will enable us to continue to provide support to our patients and their families affected by catastrophic brain and spinal cord injuries.”
First launched in 2010, Burg Simpson’s Home Runs for Craig 2012 has raised tens of thousands of dollars for Craig Hospital and the Craig Hospital Foundation and helped raised awareness about spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries.
“Colorado is fortunate to have a renowned facility like Craig Hospital in our community, and Burg Simpson is proud to help raise money and awareness for the benefit of survivors of spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries,” said Peter Burg.
