When a Birth Defect is the Result of Medical Malpractice

By Heidi Culbertson

March 4, 2021

In a recent video, Burg Simpson shareholder Angela McGraw discusses the heartbreak associated with congenital disabilities, and when a birth defect is the result of medical malpractice.

Trauma during the birthing process, or a missed or delayed diagnosis during or after the pregnancy, are common causes of birth injuries. Parents whose newborns have suffered from injuries that occurred before or during delivery may not receive answers to their questions about what caused the injury. The medical professionals involved are sometimes more concerned with protecting themselves than disclosing the circumstances that led to the birth injury.

If your child has been critically injured due to the negligence of a medical professional, you can speak with Angela McGraw, a Colorado medical malpractice lawyer at Burg Simpson. Contact us now.
