Michael Burg, the founding shareholder and a trial attorney with Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, was interviewed by HLN on Monday, July 29th to discuss the Biological Resource Center case filed in Phoenix, AZ. The Biological Resource Center is a body donation and tissue bank facility that is currently being sued by eight families following an FBI raid in 2014.
The FBI followed a paper trail leading to the center, run by owner Stephen Gore, which they said was allegedly profiting from dismembering and selling human remains without donor consent. One of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the facility had donated the remains of both his mother and grandmother to the facility in 2012 and 2013 with the understanding the bodies of his loved ones would be used for scientific purposes.
Mike Burg says, “This is unacceptable in any civilized society, and the lawyers at Burg Simpson will work tirelessly to get the answers and to hold those responsible accountable for their horrific conduct. These families deserve to have justice.”
