Greeley, CO (January 14, 2021) – A worker has lost his life due to an accident reported in the Greeley area on Thursday afternoon. On January 14, police and firefighters responded to the scene of an accident on North 35th Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that a man was working on a trench when a wall of dirt collapsed on top of him at the Poudre Ponds construction site in the 1100 block of North 35th Avenue. The worker sustained severe injuries in the incident. Responding crews worked quickly to remove the man from below the trench. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the accident remains under investigation.
