David Hersh is a named shareholder at Burg Simpson and the Co-Practice Group Leader of the Commercial Litigation Team. In the video below, Mr. Hersh discusses statutes of limitation and how important it is to address your legal matter in a timely manner.

The statutes of limitations are statutes that set the maximum amount of time parties have to initiate legal proceedings after certain triggering events occur. Statutes of limitation vary depending on the type of case involved and the laws applicable to the claim. Every state has statutes of limitation that apply to every case.

If you have a legal matter, you must be diligent and vigilant to protect your legal rights or you may lose them forever. Even if you have a good case, if you wait too long to address the matter, it may be too late to bring legal action.
